So dad has taken over giving Riley piano lessons.Today Riley was struggling with playing both the top and bottom hands at the same time and was telling me about how it was a lot of pressure to play both at the same time. First he told me that: "It feels like I have an egg in my chest under boiling water and the egg is about to crack." Then as I explained how pressure can be a good thing because it can take a piece of coal and turn it into a diamond he tells me: "I just feel like I'm the only piece of coal in the whole coal yard that can't be turned into a diamond."
Boy that kid is good with the metaphors. And I love him so much. And guess what? He ended up playing both hands and did a great job.
