VACATION 2014

Vacation 2014 was spent in Southern Utah.  We left home and headed for Mesa Verdi.  A stop in Moab for Pizza and then on to Mesa Verdi where we set up our camp at a great camp ground that was complete with showers and a small store and gift shop.

The next morning after a delicious breakfast of "Breakfast Burritos"  we headed out exploring.  We went to the Cliff Palace and then had lunch.  After lunch we went to the Balcony House and then down to the Spruce Tree house.

The next day we headed for "Four Corners".  The kids all bought themselves a souvenir from the booths set up by the local indians.  They got knives made from the rib bone of a buffalo and a bow and arrow set.  Lynn bought some jewelry. And of course there were the usual photo opts of being in four different states at one time.

From Four Corners we headed back up to Moab.  After setting up camp we took a dip in the pool and had a wild water fight with our water cannons.  Then we took a hike up to Delicate Arch.

The next morning we got up early because we had to be to the River Rafting place by 8:00 a.m.  We got fitted with life jackets and then loaded on the bus and were transported up the River where we put in for a full day of rafting on the Colorado. Our tour guide and rafter's name was Thorn.  He was great and even though he looks skinny and scrawny he was awesome and a whole lot of fun.
