A Little Fall Fun

Riley and I went over to Momma Lynn and Grandpa Brad's this afternoon. The temperature, while cold was still nice enough that we decided to go outside and play around a little/rake the leaves. I know that we reported snow the other day, but it has since retreated to just the mountains.

After some fun playing a little frisbee...

We decided to get down to the business of raking up the leaves and taking them to the garden so Momma Lynn can compost them. Since we all know how much Riley loves to help out, I thought I would show you just what a helper he is.

Even after the leaves were out, Riley decided that an empty wheelbarrow looked like just as much fun as a full one. Lucky Grandpa!

It's Snowing

This is a picture of Riley watching out the front window at the...snow. I am not ready for winter. I woke up this morning to a beautiful steady rain, making a pleasant gray wet day. Perfect for
staying indoors and making cookies. As I was downstairs printing off the recipe, Riley hollers down that it is snowing. My first thought is "crap.". I come upstairs to find Riley like this. After I snap this photo, without even turning his head Riley tells me "I really love the snow." Sigh. I guess I need to get used to the idea rhat winter is pretty much starting. Now Riley wants to go outside and catch a snowflake with his tongue.

A New Addition to The Family

I'd like you all to meet the new addition to the family. For Casey's birthday they bought him a dog. Her name is Bella. Andrea named her after Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Does anyone see a trend with how Annie names her dogs? Ariel, Bella.... Hmmm. I think someone likes Disney names. Anyway here are a bunch of random pictures from Mom and Dad's house the day that we celebrated Casey's birthday. A new puppy is rather like a child. It goes everywhere Annie and Casey go, has to have a babysitter when it can't go with them... Good practice for the future, I'd say.

I think this is my favorite picture. You have to look closely at the dog. Do you notice the tongue? Probably the cutest, funniest thing I have ever seen. All the girls want to french kiss Adam. We should probably tell her that Adam's not big on long distance dating, plus there is the whole inter-species thing. It probably won't work out. Sorry Bells.

Riley couldn't leave her alone long enough to eat so half-way through Casey's birthday brunch this is where we found them.

After a long afternoon of playing with Riley, Bella is worn out so she goes to find her favorite napping buddy. Here are Grandpa and Bella chillin' on the couch in Moms craft room.

Riley thought sleeping with a dog looked like fun so we set him up a little bed on the floor and let Bella curl up with him.

After a long day of fun, its back to Momma...

Riley's Halloween Craft Project

Riley got ahold of the template skeleton I made for Halloween Hangman
for his preschool, glued the pieces together then glued them on a
water bottle. This is the finished prduct.

Riley's Soccer

Here are a bunch of pictures from Rileys soccer season. I know, I know, it was in September. I'm a little late in getting these up. But I hope you enjoy. Riley had a lot of fun but had a hard time keeping his hands off the ball and staying on his feet. He and a little boy from our ward had the best time playing together. Their favorite game was to bump into each other and fall down. I can imagine that the coach and Reed were probably pretty frustrated. Myself, I have a much more relaxed atttitude. Sports schmortz. (Sorry Reed.) But I still like watching him play even if I know nothing about the games. I feel a little out of my element sitting on the sidelines yelling Go Riley! Do -- something -- with the ball!?! My vernacular is a bit limited. Anyway enough of my rambling... Enjoy!
