Philippino Wedding

In Jan. I went to a Philippino Wedding. Thinking it was going to be a huge cultural difference from an American Wedding. Suprise Suprise it was just the same as any other Catholic Wedding there were just a bunch of Philippinos in the church.
This is Tia, Jesus' niece. She was obviously the flower girl and one of the reasons we went to New Jersey for the wedding. This is Bebina, the bride and Jesus' aunt.
Jesus' Dad Jesus and I.

Me and Jesus' Mom, Evangelina
And Me and Jesus after dancing at the reception.

Nutcraker Ballet

Here we are at the Nutcracker Ballet in D.C. This was Cassie's first Ballet and she's not a fan. Best Quote of the night....Cassie says "They don't talk it's just dancing". First pic is Scott and the conductor pointing at the nutcracker.
Next is Cassie and her friend Kerry. Isn't the theatre beautiful. Finally it's me and the boys.

Sports action on the east coast

Since my surgery I've done a few things so I thought I'd update you all.
Here goes.

First this is me and Joe, we went to a hockey game with his friend Bob. Here are the 3 of us. The half time show was a bunch of little kids trying to play hockey. It was so cute.

Next I went to a Hockey game with Shane. We sat 3 rows behind the glass. It was very cool to be that close to the players.

Finally! The Green Bay Packer's Football game.

first picture is Me, Cassie and her Dad in Milwaukee, WI. Next is Cassie, Gerry and her Dad dressed up for the Packer Playoff game. And what a game on a snowy field no less. And lastly is Me and Gerry at the game.

First Snow in Maryland

Here it is. Pictures of my neighborhood front yard and back and the first snowfall for us. The snow is all gone as we've had a lot of rain lately.
Enjoy,
Rachel

Knee update

Here are pictures of my knee now. I have the bandage off and I'm bending it and putting more weight on it. Trying to walk around a little. My Doc. apt. is Thurs. and Physical Therapy starts Fri. The big staples in my hand are the ones they took out from my first surgery.
I love and miss you all.

Chesapeak Bay Fishing

This is the second year I've gone fishing with Co-workers on the Chesapeak Bay. And again we caught some huge fish. My friend Kim was a first timer and she caught the biggest fish of all. 35 lbs. I'm holding her fish.

Snow and Surgery

My knee surgery was scheduled for Wed. Dec. 5th. When I woke up it was already snowing and it continued all day and into the night. The first snowfall of the year dropped about 4 inches.

Surgery went well. My ACL wasn't torn after all and they couldn't repair the meniscus so they cut it out and removed 2 staples from my first surgery.

Here are pictures of the wrap on my leg from surgery and a few get well gifts from friends and co-workers. For some reason I couldn't get the snow pics to upload. Maybe next time.

Memorial Day East Coast Style

While you guys were stuffing your faces with yummy breakfast food at the fire station I was rushing down the fire hose of water. OK well not literally a fire hose but it was a lot of water.
I'm talking about White Water Rafting.
A group of us went camping in West Virginia and went rafting on the Upper Yough in Friendsville, Maryland. Yes they have a town named Friendsville here. Original I know. :)
This River is full of class 4 and class 5 rapids. The do a dam release each weekend to create electricity and the rafters and Kayakers come out to take advantage of the flowing water.
We had to wear helmets and life vests and were only allowed 3 people plus a guide in the boat.
Now I've done some white water rafting before and this is like nothing I've ever done. It is a small river to start so it's extremely technical which means lots and lots of rowing. It was a blast and we only had one girl get tossed from the boat. She survived without any injuries just a bit shaken up. Enjoy the pictures of our decent into the nut cracker (that's the name of this specific rapid). By the way I'm the one on the right side up front. Just incase you couldn't tell.

what a rush!!!!!!!!

First Boston, MA Trip

Cassie and I went to Boston April 12-23 to visit some friends of Cassies. We had so much fun. Here are some of the pictures so you can see what we did.

This is Alex, Cassie and C.J. This way you know who I was with in Boston.
This is Ben Franklin's Grave
This is a cool bridge which is part of the "big dig". A 7 Billion dollar 23 year project that state and federal dollars have paid for. The project still isn't finished.
The Boston State House.
A sign outside of Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.
Cassie and C.J. in front of Fenway Park
The original Cheers - This is the sign they showed in the TV show.

The Charles River Bride. The part of the Viking ship sticking out of the bridge is because it is believe that the Vikings made it this far.
This was just too funny not to take a picture of.
This is the largest piece of the Burlin wall on display. The round tube at the top is what was used instead of barb wire. Apparently it's impossible to get over.

We did a duck tour too but I don't have a good picture of the amphibious boats from WWII that we rode in. They go from the ground to the water with out stopping. It was pretty cool.
