A new visitor...

One of the things that I like most about summer is the chance to spend so much of it outside. There are so many things to do. Like these pictures below. Here is Momma Lynn rocking Riley and Grandpa on the hammock.

And here is Grandpa carrying Riley around... Not the most conventional mode of travel but Riley was giggling up a storm.

Another thing about this time of year that I love is how everything is so green and lovely. Dad has added a few new additions to the flower beds in his back yard.

Last year it was fairies... This year its toadstools.

And of course the toads to go on them...

Or are they frogs? But really who can tell the difference?

Aren't they cute? This one has a little solar panel and has a light that turns on when it gets dark.

Riley loves them too.

And they must work because lo and behold, they brought out a real frog to come and play.

Riley was ecstatic!

Riley's idea of how to play with the poor frog is to let it hop away and then run and pick it back up.

By the end poor froggie was exhausted.

But Riley knew just what to do.. He put him in Grandpa's little toad house.
And maybe shut the door so he couldn't get out.
