Happy Blog-iversary.

I was looking back through this blog at work tonight and I was rather blown away that we started this blog on Feb 7 2007. It is now Feb 8 2008. 1 year, can you believe it? So, family, in the reflective nature of anniversaries I pose you these questions three. Are we happy that we started doing this? Do we feel that it is something that has helped us keep in better contact with each other and our lives? And are we going to keep it up? I hope so. I have fully enjoyed this, getting to see pictures of Adam's house and the warehouse they work at, all the fun trips that Rachel takes, and all the rest. I am not always the best at keeping in touch. Especially since I have an almost 4 year old to chase around the house every day. Though I shouldn't use that as an excuse. Especially since Riley is in such a stage of wanting to call EVERY single person in my phone rolodex. But, regardless, I wanted to write a happy blog-iversary entry to say that I am proud of us for keeping this up. I think it is fantastic.

I'm The Luckiest Girl In The World

Today is Reed and my 8 year wedding anniversary. I cannot believe that 8 years ago today I was lucky enough to get to walk into the temple with Reed, kneel across the alter from him and know that I was going to be able to spend the rest of eternity with him. The thought still amazes me. I feel truly lucky that I was able to marry such a good man. Not only is he my best friend, but he is an amazing father. He makes me laugh, he is my shoulder to cry on, my rock to gather my strength. He supports me in anything I could ever want to do, and every day tells me that I am special and that he loves me. I really don't know how I could have gotten so lucky. I feel amazed that Heavenly Father knew me so well that there could actually be someone out there for me who was so perfect in every way I needed. Because, come on, if I was going to design my 'perfect man' does anyone in the family really think I would have chosen someone who was so into football? And yet, I have found over the years that Reed and I are a better fit than I could ever have imagined or hoped for. He makes all my weaknesses better just by being there and I fervently hope that in some small way I do the same for him. I love you Reed. Thank you for choosing to spend eternity with me. Thank you for being such a good father and giving me the most wonderful little boy I could ever have asked for. Happy Anniversary!

31 YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG

Today is April 29th. 31 years ago today Lynn & I were married for time & eternity, for better or worse, till death do us part, or until one of us kills the other. (Fortunately we haven't had many of those days.) I just wanted to let you all know that even after 31 years I still love her and I find great comfort in knowing that she still loves me. Oh we drive each other crazy once in a while but the truth of the matter is that there is no one that I would rather spend my life with than her. We enjoy each others company and senses of humor. We do many things together such as our little trips and antiquing (aka junk collecting), but we also allow each other room to breathe and have our own interest and hobbies. I guess that is what life is all about. She is definitely the apple of my eye. I truly love her. Dad
